What This Feature Does

New Canvas allows you to create a new pixel art piece. You can set the canvas size, artwork name, and choose the starting color palette.

Where to Access

Click "New Canvas" or a similar creation entry on the homepage.

How to Use

Create a Regular Canvas

1. Go to the New Canvas page.
2. Enter the artwork name.
3. Set the canvas width and height.
4. Select an initial color palette.
5. Click Create to enter the editor and start drawing.

Choose Canvas Size

• If you are a beginner, you can start with 16×16, 32×32, or 64×64.
• Smaller sizes make it easier to master the pixel art style.
• Larger sizes allow more detail but require longer editing time.

Choose Initial Color Palette

1. Find the palette area on the New Canvas page.
2. Select a recommended system palette or use your own.
3. After creation, the editor will use this set of colors as the initial palette.

FAQ

What size should the canvas be?

For avatars, icons, or emoticons, start with 32×32. For more detailed characters or scenes, choose 64×64 or larger.

Can I change the canvas size after creation?

If the software provides a resize canvas feature, you can modify it in the editor; if not, it's recommended to confirm the size beforehand.

What if I don't know how to choose colors?

You can use the default palette first, then create your own palette once you are more familiar.
